About Me

Profile Pic.jpeg

For nearly three decades, I’ve worked to strengthen social justice organizations through facilitation, strategic planning, content writing, project management, and grant research and development. I have deep roots in the movement to end domestic violence, where my focus has been on community organizing, popular education, and prevention and social and economic justice.

I’ve worked in support of LGBTQIA+ rights, racial equity in arts funding, cultural preservation in historically Black neighborhoods, public Montessori education, and reimagining public safety beyond policing, prisons, and punishment.

I believe that whatever the particular challenges facing any organization or individual, it is always possible for us to get unstuck and grow more liberated and more effective in our work for social justice. And I believe we can even have fun along the way!

I served as the Prevention Director at  the Texas Council on Family Violence, the statewide domestic violence coalition, where I was on staff for ten years in a variety of training, technical assistance, and leadership roles.  As an independent consultant,  I've supported public and nonprofit clients such as the Texas Council on Family Violence, the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division, Six Square: Austin's Black Cultural District, and the UT Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.
